Main Projects of the Foundation

1. Project FRFP001 (Education, Outreach) – Development of an Information and Resource Hub: www.fasciopathies.info

Create an online educational hub to centralize information about fasciopathies for researchers, healthcare professionals, and patients. Additionally, its existence will be actively promoted through outreach campaigns to expand the reach of this knowledge.

2. Project FRFP002 (Education, Outreach) – Professional Training and Certification Program in Fasciopathies.

Develop a training and certification program for healthcare professionals, providing up-to-date knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of fasciopathies. Outreach efforts will also promote the program to engage professionals in future research.

3. Project FRFP003 (Research) – Basic Studies on Fascial Anatomy and Histology.

This project aims to improve the basic understanding of the structure and function of the fascia. Techniques such as cadaver dissection, ultrasound, and histology will be used, among others. These studies will offer a more detailed view of fascial tissues in the human body, with a special focus on their fat components, which have been largely overlooked, and will provide new insights into their pathophysiology.

4. Project FRFP004 (Research, Education) – Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Fasciopathies

Develop clinical guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of fasciopathies based on clinical trial results. These will include studies on the management of fasciopathies and an analysis to assess both patient well-being and the economic impact that improved knowledge and management of these conditions has on public health services.

5. Project FRFP005 (Research) – Research Grants for Innovative Studies on Fasciopathies.

Offer funding for innovative studies that foster new therapeutic approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes and introducing new treatment options.

6. Project FRFP006 (Outreach, Education) – Building a Strong Community: Empowering Fasciopathies Patients to Engage in a Translational Approach to Their Well-Being

Strengthen the Fasciopathies Patient Association by empowering patients and creating a support community. The project will include education and the collection of testimonials to raise awareness about the real impact of fasciopathies. Additionally, patients’ input will be sought in designing new studies according to their perceived needs.

7. Project FRFP007 (Outreach, Research) – Finding Collaborators and Promoting Public Awareness

Establish collaborations with other research groups and healthcare professionals, and launch a public awareness campaign about fasciopathies to increase visibility and find new collaborators for research projects.
